Frequently Asked Questions
-
A reusable water bottle. Comfortable clothes for movement and practice. Shoes that are comfortable to walk in as the ground is rocky in places. Something warm for the evenings as temperatures drop after sunset in September. Sunscreen and a hat for daytime sessions. Any personal toiletries you need. And an open mind.
-
Each person books their own festival ticket separately. When you get to the accommodation step, one person in your group should book the bell tent and the others select festival ticket only. Drop us a line at info@fincalalola.com once you have booked and we will make sure you are placed together in Millstones Paddock.

Good. That is part of the point. Sleeping Giants is deliberately small and intimate, and the format, shared meals, communal sessions and open spaces, is designed to make it easy to meet people. Most people arrive not knowing anyone and leave with friends. Come with an open mind and the rest tends to take care of itself.
-
Yes. We have space for wild camping pitches and campervan spots on the land. Showers, toilets and water points are all available on site. Bring your own tent and bedding.
-
There are Airbnbs, hotels and guesthouses available in the surrounding area. The nearby villages of Salinas and Archidona are just a few minutes away, and the town of Antequera is about 20 minutes down the road and has a wider range of options.
-
Málaga Airport is the closest, approximately 45 minutes from the site. Granada Airport is also an option if you find a better connection, around an hour away.
-
Yes. We will be running a shuttle bus to and from Málaga Airport on Thursday 24 and Sunday 27 September, priced at around €15 each way. Booking details will be available closer to the time.

We recommend picking up a hire car at Málaga Airport. Taxis can be hard to come by in this part of Andalucía and a car gives you the freedom to explore the surrounding area during your stay. All major hire companies are available at the airport.
-
The festival runs from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th September 2026. We recommend arriving on the morning of Thursday 24th if you can, to settle in before the programme begins on Thursday. Book flights into Málaga Airport (AGP), which has connections from across Europe.
-
