Sleeping Giants

The Equinox has been celebrated since humans first came together. It marks the point in the year when day and night are equal, a point of seasonal transition. A time to pause, gather, share food, connect and soak up the last warmth of summer. A moment to mark the close of the season as it begins to shift into the cooler, quieter months ahead, as the light softens and the days begin to shorten. Sleeping Giants is built around that moment.

Festivals do something that is hard to replicate anywhere else. Preconceptions get left at the gate. People show up as they are, engage with who is in front of them, and somewhere in that shared experience something shifts. When people gather with a shared intention at a significant point in the year, the energy created is something you carry home with you.

From sunrise meditations to full moon celebrations, Sleeping Giants is a four day gathering bringing together embodied practices, human connection, and shared experience in the hills of Andalucía. Yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi, Dance, communal meals and Equinox ceremony, set against a landscape of ancient hills that have watched over this moment for thousands of years, shaped by shifting light, open terrain, and the rhythm of the seasons.

Who Are We

We are a family who have spent years bringing people together. Music festivals, education summits, teacher training programmes. We know what it feels like when a gathering gets it right, and we know what it takes to pull one off properly.

This is our first festival at Finca La Lola, our 115-acre retreat centre in the hills of Andalucía, 45 minutes from Málaga. We are building it carefully, with the right people, and with the intention of doing it every year.

In future years we plan to hold two gatherings annually. Sleeping Giants in Autumn, and Waking the Giants in Spring. Two moments in the year worth marking. This is where it starts.
